12th Interventional MRI Symposium in Boston, 2018

Das 12th Interventional MRI Symposium in Boston (https://imri2018.org) war mit über 200 Teilnehmern und einem überwiegend sehr positiven Feedback einer on-line Umfrage ein voller Erfolg.

Das 13th Interventional MRI Symposium wird im Oktober 2020 in Leipzig stattfinden. 

Hier noch ein Bericht von dem 10th National Image-Guided Therapy Workshop, der im Anschluß an unsere Tagung stattfand: 

Notes from the 10th National Image-Guided Therapy Workshop(held on October 7, 2018, in Boston, USA)

The 10th Image Guided Therapy Workshop was successfully concluded in Boston on October 7, 2018 at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf Hotel. 98 registered attendees represented the National Institutes of Health, 38 academic institutions, and 8 companies. The program began with keynote presentations on the NCIGT Resource by Dr. Clare Tempany (Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School), and on Molecular Technologies for Image Guided Therapy by Dr. Christine Lorenz (Siemens Healthineers, Molecular Imaging). This was followed by 24 oral presentations divided into four sessions entitled: Imaging Innovations for my practice of medicine: viewpoints from interventional radiology, surgery, radiation oncology, and gastroenterology; Medical Image Computing to Guide Interventions; Robotic Surgery, Surgical Training, Therapy Delivery; and Innovations in Imaging and Sensors. This was followed by a presentation of 30 posters. A highlight of the meeting was an interactive session between investigators and Drs. Janet Eary, Pushpa Tandon, and Vik Bhadrasain from the National Cancer Institute, and Drs. Randy King and Manana Sukhareva from the National Institute for Biomedical Imaging and Biotechnology.
